Bhanu Choudhrie, the founder of Alpha Aviation Group, is within an industry that is known for being slow with changes. COVID-19 is forcing the aviation industry to make changes at record speeds. Alpha Aviation Group, already known for being a leader in innovation, was ready. Choudhrie and his company changed their educational platform to a simulator-driven, digital commercial pilot program.

Alpha Aviation Group was founded in 2006 to provide budget airlines with a cost-effective way to train their pilots. The budget airlines do not have the money that the larger carriers have for training programs. They were the first to offer the Multi-Pilot Licensing program. The program heavily relies on simulator training, which reduces the number of in-flight trading hours needed. The changes that Bhanu Choudhrie implements in his program are all changes that were overdue within the Aviation industry. Most training programs that are used today were developed after WWII. The aviation industry has not made many changes in the last 80 years. It is certainly not taking advantage of the innovation that is available today. If there is an upside to the pandemic, it is that the industry is slowly making changes and more

When looking at the future of the aviation industry, Bhanu Choudhrie believes the pandemic has created a spark within the industry. Long-term changes are going to be made for airlines to stay competitive within the industry. Choudhrie’s personal goal is to make training available to remote areas that require expert pilots. Choudhrie believes that the changes being made will benefit the industry, even though there will be some turbulence along the way.
