Live Nation’s Contract Ending With Jay Z After 10 Years

Live Nation and Jay Z entered into a contract together in 2008. The contract was for $150 million over the course of 10 years. However, the contract is coming to the end in 2018. Sources have stated that Jay Z is already reaching out to others in the music industry to purchase a stack in his company, Roc Nation. Live Nation has stated that they would not be extending the contract. The reasoning behind this is that Live Nation no longer purchases artists rights and their recorded music. But that doesn’t mean Live Nation and Jay Z will not do business with each other.
